Fingerprint Art - Easy to do painting with kids

Its holiday for Aadya today and she sat down with the fingerprint pad and a paper. Mama is this one good..? and this one? is all she had in the morning. Mama and Aadya had a good time together creating funny images of animals today.

Trust me it is another craft to make with the kids, it helps in connecting with the little one and understanding more of their thoughts. My experience today morning.

Materials needed:

Fingerprint pad

A4 sheet

Color pens

And lot of imaginations that the little one have... :)

How to: 

Simple press the finger on the ink pad and transfer on the paper. Let the imagination roll and make the creative animals that the kids can think of.

Not just the animals..but a lot of other stuffs like.. insects, flowers, creative arts patterns.. and what not... 100% garuntee that you will enjoy making this one with kids.

Vegetable/Fruits stamping art

And its time for a new craft.. How about yet another easy craft with kids involved.
I promise.. like all other crafts, kids will enjoy doing this one too... because it involves colors...and mess.. :)

Materials needed to make vegetable stamping are:
Vegetable of your choice
Knife
Different colors of acrylic paints
Paper/Cloth..based on your preference of what the ultimate product is to be made (greeting card/ a simple drawing/bag.. anything)

How to?:
Cut the vegetable using the knife
Dip the cut vegetable on the paint
Press the colored vegetable on the paper/cloth

Done!
But ensure a newspaper is spread on the surface where the craft is done so that after making the craft, cleaning will be easier. I hope you will have a memorable time spend with the kids making one of the below stamps.

DIY photo locket

TaDa! I found a super cool, super easy, super fun to do neck piece today - a photo locket - I always wanted to make this one. It hardly took anytime to make. All materials to make this one was readily available. Just had to cut, assort and glue!

Photoframe felt fabric locket 

Materials required:

• Chain
• Eye pin
• Felt fabric
• Scissors
• Photo of your choice
• glue

How to make it:

• Cut two rectangular shaped pieces from the felt fabric.
• Take one of the rectangular piece and cut a smaller square shaped window.
• Optional: cut a square piece of transparent plastic sheet to cover the photo and glue on to the inner part of the square.
• Glue the eye pin on the other rectangular piece.
• Now stick the photo on the eye pin glued rectangular felt fabric.
• And finally stick the outer fabric on to the inner fabric with the photo rightly placed on the window.
• Attach the chain to the diy locket... :)

Photo fabric locket is ready to be worn!

Color pencil crafts

This post is after a long time.. Today while cleaning my daughter's cupboard, found a lot of color pencils of different sizes. All I could think of was doing some craft/organizers using these pencils!! These super bright colored ones can be used in different ways to decorate specially the kids table. Trust me they will love the organizers and will come to help us doing it.. This my experience...

Materials needed:

• Color pencils
• Glue
• Twine
• Cylindrical plastic can

To make a pen holder using color pencil:

• Cut the pencils in equal length, just perfect to cover the cylindrical plastic can length wise.
• Apply glue on the outside of the can and start sticking the pencils on the can. 
• Cover the entire can with different colored pencils. 
• Tie a twine around the pencil to have a finishing look.
• Simple easy pen holder is ready!
